Carova NC is located in Currituck County and the last and most northern on the Carolina towns and beaches. Carova Beach NC is north of Bodie Island and can only be accessed by boat or by four-wheel drive vehicle. There are no paved roads connecting Carova Beach to neighboring Corolla.

If you want to truly get away from it all, Carova Beach on the NC Outer Banks is where you want to be. Experience a pristine environment that offers wide sandy beaches, sandy roads, undisturbed dunes, and wild horses. There are no grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants or hotels, or trash pickup.

However many of the homes that are for rent are indeed mini-mansions. The upscale rentals are well-equipped, with heated swimming pools, hot tubs and Jacuzzis, game rooms, multiple televisions and entertainment systems, high-speed Internet access, gourmet kitchens and multiple bedrooms. Many homes have eight or more bedrooms and sleep from 10 to 25 people, making them perfect for group rental. So a vacation at Carova Beach on the Outer Banks isn't exactly roughing it, but the setting a reminder of how all the Outer Banks used to be.
